It is the DEA. I wouldn't expect anything less than bias propaganda and falsified information. The only way these government agencies can survive is to trick as many people as they can into believing this bullshit. And they do. Yes on prop 19.

The DEA is ridiculous. Always been, always will be. What bothers me the most is that they knowingly spread lies about marijuana and what it does to you.

It's a brilliant tactic, from their standpoint. The people who are going to be reading the DEA's website for drug information aren't the type to think critically and discover their own information. Therefore, all the DEA has to do is make vague assertions, show the facts that would support that assertion in an anti-drug mindset, and their job is done.

Your typical sheeple aren't going to care what happened next in Portugal with regards to number of addicts or violent crimes involving drugs when they were decriminalized; they're shocked and disgusted enough by the fact that drugs were decriminalized to begin with.

Sad, but effective, information control techniques. It's not even really propaganda as none of the claims are exaggerated or lies, simply misleading and not backed up. This is what the enlightened wired generation has to fight against. These organizations, these tactics, and masses of people that these tactics work flawlessly on.

The DEA is a racket, and having worked in a government position before I can testify to this firsthand. There are many MANY who work for the state who smoke marijuana or are into something else and come to work. When I was going through training an instructor even commented on how profitable it is to the industry for marijuana to remain illegal regardless of its purported dangers. That busting potheads is "good for business".

I appreciate the Government we have going for us here in America, but it's run by some seriously shitty individuals. They set the rules and if we want one changed, we bitch and moan at them until they do it half a lifetime later.
